Its Opening Day! Where's the baseball?

Today should be a national holiday! It's Opening Day for the MLB, and every team in the league is starting their season and has a game scheduled for today. You can't watch any of it! It's only on TV if you are in a market where the home team is currently playing. So the Baltimore market and the LA market are getting to watch some baseball right now, but for those of us in Cleveland, we're ready to watch some damn baseball. On the biggest day of the season for the MLB, they don't have a nationally televised game scheduled until 7pm this evening. This is why the sport is losing the younger generations. These kids can't consume the content because the MLB has it safeguarded behind a steel fucking vault. They flag any content that shows videos of the great and entertaining things happening in the league. I know this because we got a copyright flag for replaying "Down goes Anderson."

What the hell, MLB? Give the fans what they want and try to bring the younger generations back. Let's get more baseball on TV more often. So many baseball players have these great stories to tell and these incredible storylines, but we only ever get to hear about them in the second hand. We want to be on the ride, not hear how cool it was from another person afterward.
Now, I must convince my beautiful wife that we should purchase MLB TV to watch every team for the entire year. My wife, who couldn't stand baseball when I married her, is a Saint and will agree because she has learned to love the game from me and watching our kids play. Still, we shouldn't have to pay $150+ just to be able to watch the game on the biggest day of the season. But I can't expect Rob Manfred to actually fix something.
