Haliey Welch, the 22-year-old internet star, is doing some AMAZING things with her life! Most people don’t know her as Haliey though, (by the way, the spelling threw me off too…but I love that it’s different), most people would recognize her as Hawk Tuah Girl. Her life blew up into something I bet she never expected.
She is doing great things though… most recently being asked to throw the first pitch of a Major League Baseball game! Like... WHAT A DREAM COME TRUE!! So, the New York Mets invite Haliey out to New York to throw the first pitch of the game on Thursday, August 15, 2024, against the Oakland Athletics. People are LOSING THEIR MINDS.
First of all, it was the Mets vs the Athletics… like … Who cares who throws the pitch? I mean, it is an incredible honor to be invited to throw out the first pitch of an MLB game but it's the fucking Mets and the Athletics. People are mad because she acknowledged that blow jobs are a real thing that people do and gave some pretty decent advice (in my opinion), to those who might need a tip to up their mouth hug game!
Seriously though, why so much anger towards this girl? Again, we are finding that the general public is not doing their research! Haliey was not just out there because of her brilliant oral techniques, but she was also out there working with America’s VetDogs. For those who don’t know how to use “Google” the direct website for more information about it is vetdogs.org.
America’s VetDogs is a non-profit organization that specializes in placing highly skilled service dogs to veterans and first responders who have served our country honorably. These animals are provided at no cost to these individuals. What an amazing program and good for her going out there and bringing more attention to this organization!
We are LITERALLY preparing to go out and walk with Veterans for the Irreverent Warriors March in Cleveland, August 16th. The Irreverent Warriors is also a Veteran program geared towards bringing veterans together using humor and camaraderie to improve mental health and prevent veteran suicide.
In her post, she mentioned how the “baseball community” was not happy with her being there to throw the first pitch and quickly redirected to the main reason for her being there: to spread awareness and donate to America’s VetDogs. I love how she rose above but also sneak attacked them like a Ninja Boss Ass Bitch. It was subtle, but beautifully done.
What were the fans reactions?? Most people were upset because of the number of kids in the audience and that her influence on them is the wrong kind. This game was apparently a “summer camp” game, with a large portion of the audience being kids. So, I can see why some might see this as poor planning, but on the other hand, was it really? This game has brought the Mets a lot of attention, some negative, but overall positive attention which could drive ticket sales up, and let’s be real, that’s the goal for any baseball team. A little bit of controversy can make big splashes!! Hell, Haliey Welch is 100% proof of that! So, on the business side, I definitely see this as winning.
As for the parent side… if your kid is asking questions, then it’s probably time for the talk anyway… and if we teach our kids that sex is normal and good, we might find the humor in “Hawk Tuah” instead of disgust.

Besides, most kids probably knew who “Hawk Tuah” girl was long before you did because a most kids around age 11 have cell phones and they have access to social media outlets like Snapchat, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok (I know because I have a kid with access to these things and he is 12).
--Side note: I think the best part of this whole thing is after the game was over… the Mets were up on the Athletics 5 to 0. The Mets Blew the load… I mean, the lead and lost the game… if that doesn’t honor this young lady, I don’t know what does!
--Side, Side note – She threw a pretty damn good pitch!
